This is the 22nd release of Lagavulin 12 Year Old released as part of Diageo's Special Releases series, joining the lineup in 2023. It is a modern take on its classic spirit and finishes its whisky in ex-Don Julio Anejo Tequila casks, imparting aromas of heavy smoke intertwined with charred tropical fruits, wintery spice and a final wave of toffee & peat along with a smoked bouquet garni on the nose.
