Port Askaig 8 Year Old

The youngest age-statement release in the Port Askaig range of single malts comes from an undisclosed distillery on Islay. This eight-year-old whisky is warming and smoky with notes of seagrass, limestone, burnt tyres, liquorice and dark peat.

It could be argued that Port Adskaig 8 Year Old Single Malt is the best introduction to an Islay whisky.  There is a softness to the sweet peaty character balancing it to perfection. The spirit is aged in refill American oak allowing the character of the whisky to shine through.  The result is a gentle, smoky dram that you may find difficult to put down!
